Laid-back luxury: Runway Central Building

May 11, 2017

Not many in this local market does laidback elegance quite like Runway. Its pioneer-style products and decor tropical plants sit proudly in the minimal setting, architectural interior. This year’s edition of Runway ‘new-store’ might just be the most trendily subdued yet from the Italian architecture studio OffArch.

The new Runway Store, which marks an evolution towards more essential and purer lines in architect Ferrillo's creative process, is located in the Central building. This key area is frequented by diplomats and by some of the most demanding customers in search of the most exclusive fashion.

A sumptuous canopy, reminiscent of the entrances of the hotels of the Côte d'Azur, invites customers to enter a unique, contemporary store full of light. The inspirational "Venetian terrazzo" floor is framed by luxurious walls featuring a magnificent pattern obtained from a high-definition scanning of valuable Italian stones, such as travertino Navona and ceppo of Grè.

Large glass displays composed of mirrored surfaces of polished steel and lacquers in pastel shades enhance the fashion collections making the garments visible and appealing.

The interiors are marked by irregular fields of soft, natural fibres carpets in contrast to precious French style natural oak parquet boards. Once in the store the attention is drawn to the monumental staircase of beige Hauteville stone from the south of France.

Huge stone slab steps expand the sales floor area accompanying clients onto the second floor of the store on a journey through the best luxury shopping experience ever.
